BUSY WEEKS....

What a great weekend!!!
After just completing my 4 week prac in a Child Care setting for my BEd, I have hit the Den hard =P

My first project for the weekend was to meet my first deadline as a DT, and I can't believe how hard it can be to create for someone else!!! I was so hard on myself to start with I started to think so many negative thoughts....
Do you create for DT's? How do you over come these thoughts?

The embellishments and buttons are the focus of the layout as I design for Scrap Elegance Scrapbook  Supplies, these are handmade by Tenisha.
So much fun was had (when I got over that hurdle) but the layout took a different turn than I first imagined, with all the green and red I had to work with.

These embellies can be purchased from 7pm on Wednesday 22 February via

I then went onto creating for a couple of Facebook group challenges...

This is for the Crafty Crop challenge-
I had to include at least two techniques out of 3, distressing, spritzing and/or hidden journalling to complete the LO.
I used a spritzing of watered down red paint and distressing all over.
I dressed this one up with some of my left over buttons and mini doilies from my Scrap Elegance kit!!
This challenge has now closed but a new one to be announced the 16th of Feb, click on the link below and ask to join asap (heaps of advice shared by people with the same passion).

And this one is for the other group I am lucky enough to be a part of
Scrap it with Attitude

Recipe to follow- buttons, circles and twine.

I haven't created by following recipes or sketches til now but I have discovered the benefits immensely....
the mojo just keeps flowing!!
Join the ladies here to chat and share the love of scrapbooking and cardmaking =)

Now with just a couple of weeks before Uni takes over my life, I plan to wear out the carpet in my Diva Den and get my craft on <3

So far this weekend....hope to do more =)

Yay, more twin pics scrapped!!!

When Master C (our eldest) was 18 months we took him to the local park and had a photo shoot, one so successful I managed to scrap a lovely framed page for my Mum for her birthday.

I decided to do the same thing with the twins and all three frames hang beautifully in the lounge at Mum and Dad's (I am yet to scrap my Niece's pics from a similar shoot at the same age =/)

I had many pics that we fell in love with from the twins shoot, they have been in storage for a lil while now, that we wanted to create memories with.

So here are the two individual pages for each of their albums, I am still to scrap some classic blooper shots!!

Miss M's page is made up of a Sassafras paper, not real sure which one (chopped up its title before noting it oops) and Heidi Swapp lettering...oh and lots of love x

There are bits and bobs from Polly! Scrap Kits and Supplies and D-Lish, embellie packs.

And a Charm's Creation's Clay Button, one of my first purchases =)

Another Clay Button from Charm's Creations.

Master M's LO is made up of the Little Yellow Bicycle range Lucky Me, with some Basic Grey Olivia font and Studio Calico Anthology font- with a splash of joy x

This one I had Daring You To Scrap's January Challenge in mind,
"Use paper scraps to create a background"

I am having so much fun, creating my days away =P

Hope you are being successful too!!

Back from holidays.....

Wowzers, what a few crazy weeks it has been!!

We have returned from our fun filled family holiday, where we had Christmas and New Years, caught up with all of our nieces and nephews (who seem to have grown quite a lot in 3 years LOL), took part in the whole crazy tourist thing and theme park hopped. Heaps of pics.....

I am now partaking in a 4 week placement for my studies before returning to Uni for my second year of BEd.

I packed some scrap gear for our holiday, with full intentions to scrap in our down time but silly me there was no down time. So today I got back in my Den started on my "twins baby photo catch up", the first goal for 2012.

This is my first time using my Washi Tape, purchased from D-Lish Scraps
http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/ and I think I am in love!!!

Though I feel these pages are a lil plain for my liking =/ they are growing on me.

I have had some fantastic and exciting news this week in my lil scrap world (that seems to be growing, yay).
I have been selected to be a Design Team member for Scrap Elegance Scrapbook Supplies' Hand Made Embellishment Sales Event Team which is coming soon to http://www.scrapelegancescrapbooksupplies.com.au/
but can be found on Facebook
I am so looking forward to working with Tenisha and the rest of the team in the coming months.

Also in the next few months my first ever LO will be in print,
as an Australian magazine accepted a submission!!!

Look out 2012, here comes the Scrap Diva!!!

Before I go, i must insist on you stopping by Lime Tree Creations

to enter their celebratory competition!!!

TTFN
and good luck!!

Sorting through LO pics I found.....

I am so lucky to have a family that supports my craft and addiction but my lil girl takes it one step further... she creates with me. I was doing the cropping thing of my photos and found Miss M's first creation. She loved painting the chippie and gluing them on. I had a page on the go that she looked at and got ideas, so it had to have bling. Now days she is getting me motivated by nagging "Mummy can we scrapbook today?" she doesn't use photos often usually pictures she draws and some stickers. I can't wait for her to be able to write sentences, I am looking forward to reading her journalling.

This is her creation, made in 2010, Miss M is only 4 (excuse the grubby face).

And so to upload a few more of my creations and get onto the Christmas prep =)
Take care

Oh, to be a baby...

Yay, I just finished a LO to round off a busy weekend of volunteering, house work and going walking. I have had the best week for new inspiration; heaps of deliveries from my shopping through a Facebook page, and I won a voucher for Charm's Creations https://www.facebook.com/pages/Charms-Creations/147912481942641?sk=wall for simply sharing her link and having my mum like her page (she won as well, both really excited). Well onto me creation for this week. I have decided that I need to catch up on some scrapping of my twins, from when they were just babies. Master C managed nearly a page a week in his first year, filling a whole album but the twins are lucky if they have 5 pages each!!! Of course the most recent get done, leaving behind the past....

This LO "Baby Massage" is of Master M and his after-bath massage.

I used a:
number of Kaisercraft Prairie Lane Collection papers,
Prima denim/canvas flower and its packaging,
Studio Calico Anthology lettering,
October Afternoon clouds (?)
and button, lace, cotton, brads.

I free-handedly cut my scallop edging and sanded the edges. The flowers have been also cut out from the Kaisercraft paper collection.

I just loved the Prima packaging and got a good feeling from making use of it. Have you ever reused your supply's packaging?

I am having so much fun creating of late, and I am now aiming to get some teacher's gifts prepared for the end of year thank you's.

In the coming days I will be uploading a few of my older LO's, just need to crop them a bit and tidy them up. It will be nice to have them displayed all in the one place.
Stay safe
