It hasn't been as long this time...

I have had a lil turn at scrapping over the last two weeks and already have another page planned (just need the photo op to show up)...
Keeping with the theme of catch up I have completed the kidlet's first official Kinder photos!!! Yes thank you very much, thank you!!

They are all similar with simple, clean lines. Now to start the 'getting ready for the first day' pics, it is never ending.....which is a good thing =)

Just a lil thank you to Charmane and her team at 123 Challenge, for acknowledging my entry  in the March challenge with words of encouragement and my first challenge prize...a voucher from Charms Creations!!
So be prepared to see many LOs with the addition of these lil beauties!

On with the assignment writing only 3 weeks left of this semester, how time flies =)

Balance...

Who would have thought I would get a page done so quickly, especially with my Uni workload? Maybe I am in search of some BALANCE....

Nah just too many great challenges posted yesterday.....and most I could roll into one!!

1,2,3 Challenge's April elements are.....

COLOUR: MINT
WORD: BELIEVE
TECHNIQUE: BEADS
I have been wanting to use these October Afternoon letters for ages, this covered mint along with the Bella! paper, safety pin, Family tile and journalling blocks.
I have strung some wooden beads on to my twine for the tag, keeping it really natural.
And the word 'Believe' is one that you can always incorporate into a family pic =)

I have used a sketch that has been post by Purple Pumpkin that I was going to wait to until after I received all my wonderful goodies from my huge and generous win, but I couldn't wait. With a little flip around I was able to place the printed Crate Paper photo backing beautifully, this is such a fun piece of paper!

But wouldn't you know it I was stuck for a title.....again!
AND THEN....Polly! posted her April Challenge..... that also uses a mint colour, tree embellishment and the phrase that is just perfect for this pic!

How lucky am I!!

Ok back to the books...=/ don't want to as I want to get stuck into Daring You to Scrap's
April's challenge....a Page Map sketch, which I fell in love with the other day!

Scrap often!!

The month of March.....gone!!!!

Well hasn't time flown?
Between home-life and uni-life, I have been left with nearly NO scrap-life =(
This hasn't been a huge surprise but the disappointment is still there....

BUT....I have managed to fulfil my DT duties for Scrap Elegance!

I was supplied with a wonderful, bright blue doily pair and three stunning animal print buttons....what to do?? The doilies reminded me of my Nan and the buttons were reflections of nursery rhymes but the two together.....never =/

Gronnie does Nursery Rhymes!!!

I have also used Kaisercraft card and paper, Charm's Creation Fabulous Flower, lace, ric rac, a paper doily and blue pearls.

And then there is the URGE to scrap at MIDNIGHT when the Uni readings are not FINISHED!!
I think I was keen to give this one a go really.....March's 123 Challenge

COLOUR:
Metallic Blue
WORD:
123
TECHNIQUE/EMBELLISHMENT:
use something ORGANIC

Metallic blue....who would have though I had so much stuff! Cardstock, paperclip, paint, staples....
1, 2, 3... in the title....
Organic....the natural string, clay button and the blue mesh.....

Heaps of fun and so fast!!

Hope it is not too long before the next page and post xx
Happy Easter just in case <3

March Challenge - Daring You to Scrap

Well.... life is organised of late =)
Routine seems to be the key, just hope to not get tired as we start the new semester at Uni.

Aiming to still find time to scrap.....here is the first challenge
Daring You to Scrap is up early, get into it!!

THE MARCH CHALLENGE
Create a page using 'oldschool' photos like photostrips (from a photobooth) or polaroids. Of course not everybody has access to the equipment like photobooths or polaroid cameras so we have provided a couple of links on how to make them yourselves.

Head over to Kayla's challenge and there are links for websites that assist in creating photobooth pics!!

Here is my take of the challenge....

Many of the 'bitties' are from Basic Grey's Bittersweet, element stickers range.
This is on cardstock with acrylic paint and pieces of velcro!!

Hope to be back soon

BUSY WEEKS....

What a great weekend!!!
After just completing my 4 week prac in a Child Care setting for my BEd, I have hit the Den hard =P

My first project for the weekend was to meet my first deadline as a DT, and I can't believe how hard it can be to create for someone else!!! I was so hard on myself to start with I started to think so many negative thoughts....
Do you create for DT's? How do you over come these thoughts?

The embellishments and buttons are the focus of the layout as I design for Scrap Elegance Scrapbook  Supplies, these are handmade by Tenisha.
So much fun was had (when I got over that hurdle) but the layout took a different turn than I first imagined, with all the green and red I had to work with.

These embellies can be purchased from 7pm on Wednesday 22 February via

I then went onto creating for a couple of Facebook group challenges...

This is for the Crafty Crop challenge-
I had to include at least two techniques out of 3, distressing, spritzing and/or hidden journalling to complete the LO.
I used a spritzing of watered down red paint and distressing all over.
I dressed this one up with some of my left over buttons and mini doilies from my Scrap Elegance kit!!
This challenge has now closed but a new one to be announced the 16th of Feb, click on the link below and ask to join asap (heaps of advice shared by people with the same passion).

And this one is for the other group I am lucky enough to be a part of
Scrap it with Attitude

Recipe to follow- buttons, circles and twine.

I haven't created by following recipes or sketches til now but I have discovered the benefits immensely....
the mojo just keeps flowing!!
Join the ladies here to chat and share the love of scrapbooking and cardmaking =)

Now with just a couple of weeks before Uni takes over my life, I plan to wear out the carpet in my Diva Den and get my craft on <3
