March Challenge - Daring You to Scrap

Well.... life is organised of late =)
Routine seems to be the key, just hope to not get tired as we start the new semester at Uni.

Aiming to still find time to scrap.....here is the first challenge
Daring You to Scrap is up early, get into it!!

THE MARCH CHALLENGE
Create a page using 'oldschool' photos like photostrips (from a photobooth) or polaroids. Of course not everybody has access to the equipment like photobooths or polaroid cameras so we have provided a couple of links on how to make them yourselves.

Head over to Kayla's challenge and there are links for websites that assist in creating photobooth pics!!

Here is my take of the challenge....

Many of the 'bitties' are from Basic Grey's Bittersweet, element stickers range.
This is on cardstock with acrylic paint and pieces of velcro!!

Hope to be back soon

BUSY WEEKS....

What a great weekend!!!
After just completing my 4 week prac in a Child Care setting for my BEd, I have hit the Den hard =P

My first project for the weekend was to meet my first deadline as a DT, and I can't believe how hard it can be to create for someone else!!! I was so hard on myself to start with I started to think so many negative thoughts....
Do you create for DT's? How do you over come these thoughts?

The embellishments and buttons are the focus of the layout as I design for Scrap Elegance Scrapbook  Supplies, these are handmade by Tenisha.
So much fun was had (when I got over that hurdle) but the layout took a different turn than I first imagined, with all the green and red I had to work with.

These embellies can be purchased from 7pm on Wednesday 22 February via

I then went onto creating for a couple of Facebook group challenges...

This is for the Crafty Crop challenge-
I had to include at least two techniques out of 3, distressing, spritzing and/or hidden journalling to complete the LO.
I used a spritzing of watered down red paint and distressing all over.
I dressed this one up with some of my left over buttons and mini doilies from my Scrap Elegance kit!!
This challenge has now closed but a new one to be announced the 16th of Feb, click on the link below and ask to join asap (heaps of advice shared by people with the same passion).

And this one is for the other group I am lucky enough to be a part of
Scrap it with Attitude

Recipe to follow- buttons, circles and twine.

I haven't created by following recipes or sketches til now but I have discovered the benefits immensely....
the mojo just keeps flowing!!
Join the ladies here to chat and share the love of scrapbooking and cardmaking =)

Now with just a couple of weeks before Uni takes over my life, I plan to wear out the carpet in my Diva Den and get my craft on <3
