Sorting through LO pics I found.....

I am so lucky to have a family that supports my craft and addiction but my lil girl takes it one step further... she creates with me. I was doing the cropping thing of my photos and found Miss M's first creation. She loved painting the chippie and gluing them on. I had a page on the go that she looked at and got ideas, so it had to have bling. Now days she is getting me motivated by nagging "Mummy can we scrapbook today?" she doesn't use photos often usually pictures she draws and some stickers. I can't wait for her to be able to write sentences, I am looking forward to reading her journalling.

This is her creation, made in 2010, Miss M is only 4 (excuse the grubby face).

And so to upload a few more of my creations and get onto the Christmas prep =)
Take care

Oh, to be a baby...

Yay, I just finished a LO to round off a busy weekend of volunteering, house work and going walking. I have had the best week for new inspiration; heaps of deliveries from my shopping through a Facebook page, and I won a voucher for Charm's Creations https://www.facebook.com/pages/Charms-Creations/147912481942641?sk=wall for simply sharing her link and having my mum like her page (she won as well, both really excited). Well onto me creation for this week. I have decided that I need to catch up on some scrapping of my twins, from when they were just babies. Master C managed nearly a page a week in his first year, filling a whole album but the twins are lucky if they have 5 pages each!!! Of course the most recent get done, leaving behind the past....

This LO "Baby Massage" is of Master M and his after-bath massage.

I used a:
number of Kaisercraft Prairie Lane Collection papers,
Prima denim/canvas flower and its packaging,
Studio Calico Anthology lettering,
October Afternoon clouds (?)
and button, lace, cotton, brads.

I free-handedly cut my scallop edging and sanded the edges. The flowers have been also cut out from the Kaisercraft paper collection.

I just loved the Prima packaging and got a good feeling from making use of it. Have you ever reused your supply's packaging?

I am having so much fun creating of late, and I am now aiming to get some teacher's gifts prepared for the end of year thank you's.

In the coming days I will be uploading a few of my older LO's, just need to crop them a bit and tidy them up. It will be nice to have them displayed all in the one place.
Stay safe

First Sketch Challenge....

I have had a combination pastel yellow and turquoise in my head all day plus a sketch challenge set by Stuck Sketches (http://stucksketches.blogspot.com/) it was just about finding the right photo and embellies.
I have had fun creating and arranging this LO but now comes the slight apprehension of sharing it, quite a lot more publicly than I am use to.

I chose the photo of my Brands Exclusive Boa boots because of its neutral colours, aiding me to successfully use my chosen colour combo. Many of the elements/embellies come from another kit I purchased from Polly! Scrap Kits http://www.pollyscrapkits.blogspot.com.

Be sure to check out the mentioned blogs, there are many talented scrappers to draw knowledge and inspiration from.

Take care

Today's challenge....no photos!!

Hey, well I was successful at achieving a clean Den but it didn't last long.....does this ever happen to you, inspiration striking after a clean up?

Whilst cleaning and dusting I stumbled across some wrappers and tags. I had promised myself I would scrap these to help record the gifts we have received from my dearest friend, recording her far away travels. Today I achieved this by creating this LO using some of a kit I purchased from Polly! Scrapkits, "July Mini Release Kit".

I have also started on another page but had to put that on hold to enjoy a lovely night of mature and sensible (Ha ha ha) board gaming with great mates....it will be completed tomorrow if this weather continues =)

Cheers,

Introducing myself to the world of BLOGGING =/

Well this is what it is all about, a world of confusion and questions. "Am I doing this right?" "Will it be appealing to others?" ARGH!!! I have just decided to say "Here we go, give it your best".

I should really start by saying I have not made the huge blooper of spelling "Peace's" incorrectly on my bi-line, this is fact my family's last name and this is one of our lil plays on our name.

The photos below represent my lil den in its worst and best moments. Boy, I have spent some time in there (mostly cleaning LOL), especially of late. This lil room is MY place, my poor family have to put up with my many places eg. my/our bedroom, the diva den and my study space! I am always looking to create a more workable station, one that I will find my scissors easily or that lil embellie I just had....come to think of it my den is at its worst as I type, tomorrow's job...

Thank you for taking the time to check the Diva Den out, it is just a work in progress; one that I hope I will get much pleasure out developing and sharing.Stay safeRee xxx
